Project Management Apps for Every Woman Entrepreneur: Take Your Pick!

In the 35 years I’ve been in the accounting sector, online tools have made managing my business easier. Work has never been so convenient! Tons of apps are offering different kinds of services today. And these can be confusing for us women entrepreneurs. So I made a list of the top 5 project management tools to help you decide, which one fits you and your business better.

1. Smart Sheets
Smart Sheet is an efficient tool for project management. It is basically an upgraded spreadsheet where you can input inventories and the likes. It has an added feature, the Gantt charts, which allow you to visualize or create charts on your project.

2. Redbooth
Among the leading project management tools is Redbooth, user-friendly and easy to navigate. It is speedy and has a real-time collaboration and communication feature. It allows you to share files and merge tasks. You can also create shortcuts by creating tags on certain items, and dismiss notifications the moment it pops up, avoiding unwanted email bulks. The Pro and upgraded versions has an additional video conferencing feature for you and your team.

3. Basecamp
Among these project management tools, Basecamp has the clean and straightforward interface which makes it more than easy to explore. It also has a collaboration platform for fast communication among the project team. The Basecamp 3 has a task management feature that allows you to assign tasks and deadlines. It has a Schedule that allows you to view all the deadlines and events and a Timeline that shows the history.

4. Asana
Asana is another task management tool in which you and your team could pin tasks and subtasks, plans, and progress. It also has a dashboard where you can view your project summary. Moreover, it allows you to create a Workspace or Organisation which are like groups to assign your members to. But why would you choose this among others? Aside from its clean and cheerful interface, it is FREE. Unlike the other project management tools, Asana is completely free for 25 or less users.

Bonus tip: Install LastPass
Though this is not a project management tool, I’ve included LastPass as a must-have for business owners. You don’t have to remember all those different passwords and usernames, and using one password for all your accounts is a big no no! You only have to remember one master password and you’re good to go. Plus, you can share your logins with your staff without them having to see the logins. To find out more how it works, visit their website here.

Are you currently using one of these tools or are you still trying to make up your mind? Let me know what you think, and if you have anything to add, please do share. I’m all ears!

P.S. I’ll be posting more about tools all we women entrepreneurs can make use of to boost our productivity and make life easier. Stay tuned for more!
